AllegroSurf Version 3.0.1.3

AllegroSurf 3.0.1.3 was released July 24, 2000.

• Minor bug fixes.
• POST bug fix were post responses did not appear correctly.
• Corrected possible GPF bug.

AllegroSurf Version 3.0.1.2

AllegroSurf 3.0.1.2 was released June 17, 2000.

• Minor bug fixes.
• Reliability bug fixes.
• Corrections for Windows NT4 including shutdown issues.
• Filtering now supported when posting.
• Improved installation for binding to a particular IP address.

AllegroSurf Version 3.0.1.0

AllegroSurf 3.0.1.0 was released May 9, 2000.

• Minor bug fixes.
• Corrected problem with FTP proxy server with command line FTP and WS_FTP where the 220 return messages with continuation was causing the software to not ask for a password. This has been corrected be waiting for the last message number, then using it throughout including on the connect return.
• Added registration ID locator for those customers who have lost their registration ID.
• Added more graphics to the help menu.
• Added the ability to set a timeout for the HTTP proxy server.
• Use the HTTP proxy server timeout value for FTP requests through HTTP.

AllegroSurf Version 3.0

AllegroSurf 3.0 was released March 31, 2000.

• Minor bug fixes.
• Added browser FTP support using FtpTree, the FTP Voyager FTP engine. This allows users to browse FTP sites using a browser, while giving the user the full array of FTP servers supported by FTP Voyager.
• In addition to HTTP proxy server already supported, added proxy servers:
  • TCP Mapping
  • POP3
  • FTP (OPEN, SITE site, USER=userid@site, USER after Login, mapped, etc)
  • NNTP
  • SMTP
  • SOCKS4
  • SOCKS4a
  • SOCKS5
  • Telnet
  • UDP Mapping
  • DNS
• New version AllegroSurf FREE Network allows you to connect up to 3 computers to the Internet for free, or use one of AllegroSurf's other technologies such as "Filtering" or "Scheduling".
• Added S/Key password encryption support to FTP proxy support. AllegroSurf will automatically use S/Key password encryption when required.
• Added scheduling support for FTP URLs through HTTP.
• Added "Don't Prefetch Sites" so that certain sites won't prefetch. This could be important with certain e-commerce sites.
• Added Meta Description and Rating site banning. A separate subscription for content filtering is no longer required.
• Added the ability to bypass banned sites by allowing the user to enter a user ID and password.
• Added Automatic site banning based on content.
• Combined "Blocking" with "Filtering".
• Combination of "Blocking" and "Filtering" is now available together with AllegroSurf FREE and AllegroSurf FREE Network.
• Easier installation program, especially for AllegroSurf Network.
• Automatic recognition and configuration of certain client applications such as FTP Voyager, AllegroMail, Microsoft Outlook and Outlook express, and more.
• Added support for DirecPC dialer.
• Added support for DirecPC connection checking.
• Added the ability to "never disconnect" the modem when AllegroSurf dials. Enter 0 for the number of idle seconds.
